Manager - IT Development - VMWare/Hyper-V (10-15 yrs)Job Description:
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
- Drive internal IT HelpDesk and implement methodologies on effective helpdesk and inventory management
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Manage internal use software licenses and keep
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures
- Proactively work on client Infrastructure projects
- Implement Inventory of all IT Assets and track ROL for applicable
Consultative Skills :
(Essential Skills):
- Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data centre management and data governance
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Ability to manage personnel
Technical Skills :
(Essential Skills)
- Advanced skills in Linux Administration, Virtualization - VMWare/Hyper-V,
- Advanced skills in Active Directory Forest and Topology, Active Directory Migration and consolidation
- Knowledge on LDAP authentication, Linux /Open Source application integration with Active Directory
- Datacentre management, Storage Administration and Active monitoring using System Centre
Technical Skills:
(Desired Skills)
- Knowledge on Oracle Database and SQL Server
- Sound knowledge on Storage Administration
- Practical hands on knowledge on Email systems using Exchange Server, IMAP and Lotus Notes Mail Servers
- Practical knowledge on Office 365 and Azure
Experience required: 10-12 years in similar capacity
Qualifications Required:
- The opening requires candidates to possess relevant industrial experience (particularly experience gained within the fields of project management, technical support, systems programming or computer operations).
- Degrees in subjects such as information technology, management sciences, business studies, computer science/studies or software/computer engineering are usually also required.
- For graduates without relevant qualifications and/or experience, gaining a postgraduate computing/IT qualification is advisable.
- Microsoft Certification in any of the above skillsets is desirable.
