Desired Candidate Profile
Direrctor - DevOps/Cloud Professional - Python/Jenkins/Linux (8-15 yrs)The role will consist of being a lead on our operations administration team which is responsible for defining the overall topology along with the core engineering team and setting it up, configuring, monitoring web servers, package installation, security configuration as well as more development-oriented tasks such as building automated provisioning, defining metrics and implementing plugins for our application, exploring database performance and replication, etc. and contribute towards improving our deployment and provisioning strategy.
We are looking for an exceptional, self-motivated individual, keen to learn new and emerging distributed technologies; exploit the emergent Cloud offerings to the maximum benefit of our business and our customers with experience in leading a team of individual contributors.
Responsibilities:
- Drive our infrastructure efforts and be in charge of long term planning and rollout
- Control and focus on the performance and quality in our production and dev. environments
- Shape the future architecture of Numerify's infrastructure based on your experience
- Help to lead a team of engineers
General Skill Set:
- Very strong technical background in cloud based application deployment architecture
- Knowledge of AWS and an in-depth understanding of security, high availability and performance
- Very strong leadership skills in managing teams in multiple locations
- Database administration of any one of the leading databases
- Knowledge of build and deployment process and using it to support QA function by enabling automated testing as part of the continuous build and deployment process
- Design and build scalable monitoring and metrics collection and distribution system;
- Create, setup, and run performance tests to help determine optimal hosting configurations
- Be able to provide support for deployment and production issues during and off regular office hours
- Very strong scripting skills
Specific Skills (many of the following):
- Server virtualization experience: AWS/Rackspace/OpenStack
- Experience with deployment automation tools: Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Salt
- Experience with scripting languages: Python/Bash/Ruby
- Experience with continuous integration processes: Jenkins/TeamCity
- Experience with web deployment technology specifically: Linux/Nginx/Tomcat/Java
- Experience with monitoring solutions
Education:
UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization, B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization
PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
