Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between the development teams in multiple geographies
- Lead Sprint Planning, Daily stand- ups and Sprint Reviews and ensure impediments raised are addressed and escalated promptly if needed.
- Act as Facilitator to Product Owner and Scrum team. Facilitate for discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
- Coach the team in Agile practices and self- organization
- Assess the Agile Maturity of the team and organization and contribute towards to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
- Manage stakeholder expectations on Sprint deliverables and prioritization.
- Facilitate Retrospectives to inspect and adapt on what was accomplished and come up with actionable improvements.
- Apply techniques that allow ideas to emerge and result in common understanding
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution with an emphasis on collaborative problem solving
- Lead by example and demonstrate thought leadership by supporting the team in process improvement initiatives
- Represent team in Scrum- of- Scrums and Release planning to ensure all teams are aligned
- Establish strong working relationship with partner teams across the organization to identify dependencies and align priorities and work
- Lead continuous improvement efforts with teams by implementing take- aways from retrospectives and implementing concrete solutions to make the teams more efficient and improve delivery success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, applied mathematics or engineering is required and Master s degree would be preferred.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in software Engineering, of which at least 2-4 years successfully performing Scrum Master Role.
- Certified SCRUM MASTER.
- Tools: Jira & Confluence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- You are a good team player and work collaboratively, enthusiastic and passionate about agility
- Experienced in playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2-4 years
- Worked with a team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Good knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement and Team empowerment
- Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
- Good interpersonal skills with global teams with an ability to communicate effectively across written, verbal and presentation formats to a variety of audiences from Engineer to Executive
- Ability to take initiative and apply critical thinking techniques to analyse problems, develop solutions or manage risk
- Knowledge and experience of using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with CI/CD deployment of cloud solutions a strong plus
- Demonstrate experience delivering complex software project and solutions on time
- Experience working cross-functionality and cross-organizationally to align dependencies and deliverables.
