Job Description
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance.
- Analyze financial data and prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts for senior management.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted amounts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate and assist with external audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, evaluate the financial feasibility of projects, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management, and propose and implement improvements to enhance financial processes and controls.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw accurate conclusions.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modelling software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and implement changes effectively.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and familiarity with relevant financial laws and regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity in handling confidential financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting practices, financial analysis techniques, and accounting principles.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Proficiency in using financial software systems and tools.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and financial laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
