Exp : 4 to 6yrs Company Description QnQ Pharmacy (A Unit of QnQ Healthcare Pvt Ltd) is a novel retail unit providing quality assured generic drugs at affordable prices in Chennai. QnQ Healthcare ensures the quality of medicines through drug quality testing in a reputed NABL accredited third-party lab, offering quality assured generic medicines to the public. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong focus on MySQL and Unix/Linux servers. The DBA will be responsible for database performance, integrity, and security. Role & Responsibilities Database Administration : Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches. Performance Tuning & Optimization : Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schema designs. Conduct regular database health checks and performance tuning to ensure efficient operation. Backup & Recovery : Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure data availability and resilience. Security & Compliance : Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing measures. Monitor for and address potential security vulnerabilities and compliance issues. Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance problems and system outages. Provide technical support and guidance to development and operations teams regarding database-related issues. Database Design & Architecture : Assist in designing and implementing database architecture and schema based on application requirements. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design and integration. Key Skills & Competencies Extensive experience in MySQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong understanding of MySQL performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security practices. Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization. Experience with MySQL replication, clustering, and high-availability setups. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24-7 rotational shift environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Qualifications Experience : Minimum 5 years as a DBA with expertise in MySQL and Unix/Linux. (ref:hirist.tech),
