Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Conducting Needs Analyses and preparing Analyses Reports.
  • Liaising with stakeholders (SMEs, clients) for requirement analysis etc. 
  • Designing effective learning solutions considering client requirements and the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and the latest best practices in ID.
  • Designing/developing end-to-end learning solutions (curriculum to storyboarding with team / independently).
  • Designing and creating standards, guidelines, templates, and checklists for the proposed learning solution, and providing guidance to the team in creating these documents.
  • Managing client communication regarding project requirements.
  • Creating design proposals and actively participating in Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
  • Providing ID solutions/approaches and estimates for large bids and complex projects.
  • Conducting quality assurance edits of the final learning solution/product and deliverables such as:  RFPs, Design proposals, Content Outlines, ISMs, Storyboards, Developed Prototypes and modules/courses, Guidelines & Checklists.
  • Ensuring reviews and errors/defects are logged in the recommended format based on project requirements.
  • Maintaining project documentation, including, proposals, design documents, storyboards, ID checklists etc. and adhering to version control.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior IDs offering expertise in ID principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ensuring that schedules and project efforts are met according to the training plan.
  • Performing random audits to ensure all documents are maintained as per the ID process.
  • Identifying/recommending process improvements to build efficiencies.
  • Conducting team meetings at regular intervals and managing team conflicts and aspirations.
  • Mentoring and training team members based on project scope and requirements
  • Defining KPIs for IDs.
  • Tracking and analysing ID efforts in terms of quality, schedule, and effort.
  • Providing constructive feedback to IDs and planning remedial training.
  • Contributing to performance discussions and communicating individual strengths and weaknesses.
  • Identifying individual ID skill enhancement/development plans.
  • Conducting training sessions on functional topics/industry trends.
  • Developing ID white papers and innovative products that can be put up for industry awards.
  • Participating in the recruitment process.

Preferred candidate profile


  • Exposure to training and mentoring individuals and teams.
  • Working knowledge of authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, RISE 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond etc. 
  • Working knowledge or experience of Digital Adaptation Platforms such as WalkMe will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge or experience of ERP platforms/tools such as SAP Enable Now, SAP S/4HANA, and Oracle, will be an added advantage.
  • Know-how of Learning Management Systems (LMS)/Learning Content Management (LCMS) and compliance standards (WCAG, SCORM, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality learning materials.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to think critically and analyse complex problems related to instructional design
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage small to Large teams.

Experience

10 + Years of core instructional design experience in the corporate sector and

Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Team Lead
