Independently engages with an assigned teams to perform performance and load tests on linux-based software applications. The PAC Engineer is fully responsible for all aspects of a PAC engagement, including, but not limited to requirements gathering, test plan development and documentation, lab instrumentation and validation, load test scripting, test execution, results collection and analysis, and performance report document authoring and delivery.
At least 5 years experience in performance and load testing Linux based applications
At least 3 years experience with software development and scripting
Demonstrated experience with performance load driving tools, such as jMeter, LoadTesterPro, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoTest, LoadUI/SoapUI
Demonstrated experience with collecting and analyzing application, system and/or database performance data
Demonstrated ability to work independently on a project, breaking through barriers, and delivering high quality results
Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting software and performance issues
Experience with n-tiered java applications running in Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly a plus
Experience with Oracle and/or MySQL database performance a plus
Experience with Container technologies, Docker and/or Kubernetes a plus
Knowledge of Linux kernel performance, I/O systems, networking, load balancers
Experience creating written performance test plans and performance reports
Experience with ETL and Reporting principles a plus
Working knowledge or exposure of any cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Oracle cloud) will have an added advantage.
How you will help:
- To be a member of the Performance And Capacity Engineering team to get involve in performance evaluation and benchmarking of various ongoing and legacy products.
Design and develop automated test scenarios, test cases and environments for performance testing of existing and new products.
Work closely with the Development, QA, Database, Architecture, SRE and various teams to coordinate and work independently by breaking through barriers, and delivering high quality result.
Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting software and performance issues.
Experience in creating written performance test plans and performance reports
Who we have in mind:
Bachelor's/Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science/IT.
Minimum 5 Years Industry experience in performance and load testing of Linux based application
Minimum 3+ Years Industry Experience with software development and scripting using bash shell scripting, Perl, python, java, ruby, php or Groovy Coding
Demonstrated experience with performance load driving tools, such as JMeter, LoadTesterPro, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, LoadUI/SoapUI
Demonstrated experience with collecting and analysing application, system and/or database performance statistics
Knowledge of Linux kernel performance, I/O systems, networking, load balancers
Experience with Container technologies, Docker and/or Kubernetes based application.
Working knowledge or exposure of any cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Oracle cloud).
Industry Experience with bug tracking and using version control systems
Industry Experience in providing Timeline Estimations.
Industry Database performance analysis experience
Excellent Communication skills
It would be great if you had :
Experience with ETL and Reporting principles
Experience with Oracle and/or MySQL database performance.
Experience with Jira, Agile
Experience with Git-Stash/bit-bucket
Experience in testing web services API (REST)
Experience with Confluence
