Job Description
Overview:
Clario Cloud Services team is looking for highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect who will
provide Cloud Architecture and Engineering support to overall Clario Cloud services group
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as Cloud Architecture SME and provide direction & support on Cloud Architecture, roadmap and Operations.
- Lead and provide technical support to junior members in the Cloud services team.
- Manage key Cloud projects end-end and provide technical directions to project managers, Cloud engineers and other project team members
- Leverage on Cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture (applications, infrastructure, security and data technologies)
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the organization.
- Work with clients/R&D to design a full-stack solution using software that fully integrates with customer s existing cloud infrastructure from data flow, security, DevOps, and other standpoints.
- Responsible for the creation of a well-informed cloud strategy and administer the adaption process.
- Establish multi cloud service support process and practice, including review and analysis of current cloud operational support processes and mapping to a future state for cloud systems support operating model; implement cloud systems support process and procedures in a multi-cloud environment.
- Implement or guide implementation of technology solutions for the operation ensuring consistency with overall technology standards, strategy, and operational requirements.
- Work effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership to manage to acceptable outcomes in line with IT cloud SOP process and procedures; record new SOP support procedures and collaborate with various teams including IT, Security, R&D, Enterprise architecture team for support, alignment, and adoption in both onshore and offshore support model.
- Develop, identify, and document operational processes and procedures; assist with runbook implementations where there are gaps.
- Develop Cloud Architecture standards, guidelines, design patterns and lead new technology evaluation and deployment process.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize customers cloud presence, performance, security, and cost.
- Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation strategies.
- Develop and organize cloud systems and work closely with IT security to monitor the company s cloud privacy and compliance
- Work on Cloud roadmap including Cloud migration & transformation and lead the migration efforts. Participate on Data Center exit project and create on-prem vs Cloud cost comparison
- Lead disaster recovery drills for Cloud hosted applications.
- Enable Cloud Security, work closely with Information security group to enhance Cloud security and implement required Cloud security tools and guardrails.
- Participate in Audit exercise (ISO27001, SOX, HIPAA) and enable controls per business requirements.
- Develop Automation and Infrastructure as a Code Practice for Cloud Deployments
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Familiarity with Cloud Strategy, Business case development & Management level engagements
- Presenting to a variety of audiences through use of various mediums such as whiteboarding, phone / video conference, stage, etc.
- Comfortable engaging at all levels of a customer s business, from working with senior/C-level leadership to guiding IT-specialists and developers on building solutions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

Education :
- BS degree required; Computer Science, Math or Engineering degree with technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree or Cloud certifications
- Professional level certificate in AWS, Azure and other cloud platforms
Experience :
- 10+ years of technical experience in cloud technologies including AWS, Azure
- Solid experience in technical leadership and leading large size Cloud projects
- Solid hands-on experience in:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management & Operations
- Cloud Solution Engineering & Solution Architecture
- Cloud Migrations from on-prem to Cloud and from one Cloud to another Cloud
- Automation & DevOps and Infrastructure-as-a-code
- Cloud Network, Storage, Virtualization, Containers, Backup, Database, Firewalls, Security, AWS account management, Azure subscription management etc
- Cloud Security and Cloud governance
- Ability to convert customer requirements to Solution proposal and design
- Expertise in Public/Private Cloud predominately in AWS/Azure
- Experience in Kubernetes & VMware
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience in Automation including Cloud Management Platform (i.e Scalr, Flexera etc), Configuration Management tools (ie Ansible), Code repo (GitLab, Azure Devops etc)
- Experience in Infrastructure as a code including Cloud Formation, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Python
- Experience in Cloud Cost management models and deployments
- Ability to lead Cloud Community of practice initiatives and host technical sessions with stakeholders
- Expertise in preparing technical documentation
- Expertise in designing HA, DR, Backup and retention architectures on cloud platforms
- Passionate about open source and new technologies and willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant
- Proficiency in building scalable and available IaaS/SaaS/IaaS solutions
- Experience with deployment orchestration and standard DevOps tools
- Experience with network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Transit gateway, Direct Connect, Express route
- Experience with security fundamentals such as Endpoint, Vulnerability management, Firewall, WAF, Control tower, Guardduty, Advisor, CSPM, ISO, CIS, SOX, HIPPA
- Experience in Linux & Windows administration
- Working knowledge of on-prem and cloud Database technologies
- Good Understanding on ITIL and Service Management practice
- Experience in running proof of concepts and developing reference architectures to accelerate the usage of cloud platform and products
- Hands-on creating diagrams, solution proposal, solution design and presenting the solutions to larger audience
