- About Us: Are You The One As a Technical Lead (Backend), you will ship software that matters. You will play an important role in helping MatchMove scale as the leading BAAS provider in Southeast Asia. You will innovate on architecture, write impactful software and generally contribute to enhance output across the Technology Team. You will get the opportunity to contribute to: Building robust and world-class experiences for our customers Support internal and external consumers of your Product. Handling localizations and regulatory requirements across various regions. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain large, complex projects. Scrutinize, rationalize, defend and own significant technology and architecture decisions taken. Work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure comprehensive delivery. Drive predictability in terms of engineering output and the product roadmap. Requirements We are hiring senior backend engineers with 6-8 years of engineering experience Good OOP skills combined with solid SDLC practices like code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration Strong in-depth knowledge of PHP or GO is required. Experience with transactional RDBMS such as MySQL & Postgres along with strong fundamentals of schema design Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the whole tech stack - language, databases, web servers, and system environment Solid design and architecture experience, as well as knowledge and experience with object oriented design patterns Experience in a git based code management workflow is a must. Understanding of best practices for securing your code. Strong grasp of enterprise software design patterns and data structures. Experience in engineering support of a product through a PDLC. Strong hands on knowledge of cloud based deployments and workflows and understanding of scaling code in production and debugging for performance bottleneck Having a Team-oriented approach so as to effectively participate with team members across regions, as well as work cross-functionally with other organizations. Act as a strong advocate for clean and scalable coding principles Participate in formal and informal code reviews to ensure code quality Be a champion of high-performance, secure, and reliable software services Identify critical non-functional requirements for the work your team is prioritizing (security, performance, scalability, etc.) Provide technical leadership for your team across all phases of our software development lifecycle Vocal, passionate and driven about solving problems via engineering. Advocate for ways to remediate technical debt on an ongoing basis Strong, active advocacy for technical standards and quality across MatchMove Brownie Points: Production Experience with modern engineering and cloud tools Knowledge of a scripting language Having previously worked on a Microservices based architecture A technical blog, a public GitHub repo, or contributions to open source projects MatchMove Culture: We cultivate a dynamic and innovative culture that fuels growth, creativity, and collaboration.
