Job Description
- About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in developing and designing Samsung's Service and Management Orchestration (SMO) product. This product is a critical component in managing and automating vRAN (Virtualized Radio Access Network) deployments on a Cloud-Native Environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native technologies, network orchestration, and automation, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Development & Design: Lead the design and development of the SMO product for vRAN deployment automation. Architect and implement cloud-native solutions for managing and orchestrating vRAN components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and technical specifications. 2. Cloud-Native Environment Expertise: Develop and optimize solutions for Kubernetes-based cloud-native environments. Implement containerized microservices for orchestration and management of vRAN workloads. Ensure seamless integration with cloud-native tools and platforms. 3. Automation & Orchestration: Design and implement automation workflows for vRAN deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management. Develop APIs and interfaces for seamless interaction between SMO and vRAN components. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the orchestration system. 4. Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for cloud-native development and orchestration. Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in ORAN, cloud-native ecosystems, and network automation. 5. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. Present technical solutions and progress to senior leadership and external partners. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Java or Go. Experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker, Helm, etc.). Strong experience in cloud-native development and microservices architecture. Knowledge of AI/ML applications in network automation and optimization. Familiarity with edge computing and multi-access edge computing (MEC). Expertise in network orchestration and automation frameworks. In-depth knowledge of vRAN and 5G network architectures. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., private clouds or AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD). Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP/2, gRPC). Knowledge of telecom standards and protocols (e.g., 3GPP, O-RAN, ETSI, NETCONF/YANG). Qualifications: 1. B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT from renowned college/university with 8-13 years of overall IT experience.,
