Job Description
Job Title: Cross-Functional Team Manager - Costing and Financial Analysis
Location: Chennai, Ambattur
About the team
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our Cross-Functional Team
as a key member responsible for costing, financial analysis, and decision-making. The ideal
candidate will play a crucial role in investment decisions, product costing, pricing strategies, and
financial reporting to support the organization's growth and profitability.
Your Task
- Decision-Making: Participate in finalizing and making decisions regarding products, investments, and capital budgeting for new projects aimed at new product production and capacity expansion.
- Product Costing: Responsible for costing products made to order and setting prices for new and custom products or contracts.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis for new products and maintain standard costs, investigating variances.
- Financial Reporting: Identify new areas for management reporting, develop MIS for those areas, and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Investment Tracking: Track investment advances and government subsidies, and report unusual situations to management.
- Business Separation: Work on business separation or hive-off projects as a member of the CFT.
- Software Implementation: Test new software and oversee its implementation.
- Expense Control: Control admin expenses and ensure they are incurred as per the applicable Division of Power.
- Pricing and Profitability: Determine pricing for after-sales business, ensure profitability, and investigate variances between planned and actual prices.
- Capex Management: Control capex expenditure, ensure expenses are incurred based on appropriate approvals, and report on payback period and investment viability.
- Budget Preparation: Prepare budgets, set organizational and departmental goals, and participate in Business Impact projects.
- Process Improvement: Participate in Cross-Functional Office TPM projects to improve and strengthen processes.
- Decision-Making Process: Prepare and revise the Division of Powers, suggesting effective decision-making processes.
- Profitability Analysis: Prepare allocation rules for product-wise and vertical-wise profitability directly from ERP.
Your Profile
- CA/CMA Fully Qualified
- Proven experience in costing, financial analysis, and budgeting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
