- Who are we Culinary Digital is a leader in food service SaaS solutions, providing CulinarySuite, FD MealPlanner, and FD Signage to optimize food operations, customer engagement, and digital transformation. Our platforms serve industries like healthcare, education, corporate food services, and senior living facilities. To enhance the usability, design consistency, and user experience across all Culinary Digital products, we are hiring a dedicated UI/UX Designer to work closely with Product Owners and the Product Director. This role will ensure seamless design execution, product roadmap alignment, and an improved user experience across all platforms. The Role We are looking for a UI/UX Designer with expertise in B2B SaaS applications to enhance the user experience across all Culinary Digital products. This role will take ownership of design strategy, usability, product documentation visuals, and release communication materials. The designer will work closely with Product Owners, the Product Director, and engineering teams to align UI/UX improvements with business goals, market trends, and development roadmaps. The ideal candidate should have a user-centered design approach, strong prototyping skills, and the ability to create intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling designs. Primary Skillset 6 -8 years of UI/UX design experience, specifically in B2B SaaS platforms. Expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools. Strong understanding of UX principles, usability testing, and user-centered design. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and align design with market trends. Basic front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) to collaborate effectively with developers. Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and A/B testing. Strong communication skills to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams. Portfolio showcasing UI/UX work on SaaS products are a must. Secondary Skillset Experience in designing for food service, healthcare, ecommerce or hospitality industries. Familiarity with AI-driven UI/UX enhancements and data-driven design. Experience working with design systems and component libraries. Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG, ADA compliance). Ability to create design-driven marketing and sales materials. Requirements Key Responsibilities 1. UI/UX Design & Product Enhancements Design and improve user interfaces across all Culinary Digital SaaS products, ensuring consistency and accessibility. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications. Maintain and enhance Culinary Digitals design system, ensuring a unified design language across platforms. Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI components. 2. Collaboration with Product Teams & Roadmap Alignment Work closely with Product Owners to integrate UI/UX improvements into the product roadmap. Engage with the Product Director to align designs with strategic business goals and market trends. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product discussions to ensure design priorities are considered in development cycles. Provide UX research insights and recommendations to support product decision-making. 3. Product Documentation & Release Communication Prepare designer presentations to communicate product features, design updates, and UX research findings. Create visual assets for release launch emails, product documentation, and marketing materials to ensure clear and engaging communication. Work with marketing and customer success teams to develop design-driven onboarding materials. 4. User Research & Experience Optimization Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and UX audits to gather insights and optimize workflows. Develop user personas, journey maps, and information architecture for new and existing features. Identify pain points and areas for improvement, ensuring seamless user interactions across products. 5. Design Testing & Accessibility Compliance Work with the QA team to validate UI elements for responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG/ADA compliance), and usability. Optimize designs based on performance metrics, analytics, and customer feedback. Technical & Design Skills Expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools. Strong knowledge of user-centered design (UCD), usability testing, and UX research methodologies. Ability to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs. Understanding of design systems, component libraries, and responsive design best practices. Basic front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) to collaborate effectively with engineers. Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA compliance). Experience in A/B testing, heat maps, and analytics-driven design improvements. Collaboration & Communication Ability to work closely with Product Owners, the Product Director, and Development Teams to align design with product roadmaps and business strategy. Strong visual communication skills to create product documentation visuals, designer presentations, and release launch materials. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story refinement. Ability to present and defend design decisions based on UX best practices, research, and business goals. Soft Skills & Mindset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve user workflows and interactions. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
