- Job Title : Engineer / Senior Engineer Android Framework. Company : Ignitarium. Location : Bangalore and Cochin. Experience : 2-8 Years. Its offerings include semiconductor logic design and architecture, design verification, FPGA prototyping, embedded, multimedia and AI software in the Automotive, Industry 4.0, Consumer Electronics, Robotics and Health care segments. Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development and Validation Engineer to join our team in Bangalore or Cochin. If you possess excellent programming skills, a strong background in Android development, and a passion for delivering high-quality software, we invite you to be a part of our innovative and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Own the design, development, and validation of software modules on development devices like Pixel phones. Address and resolve bugs reported on customer hardware by analyzing logcat, fixing issues, and conducting unit and system tests. Collaborate effectively in a team environment across various engineering disciplines and locations. Perform performance analysis using various tools and propose optimization ideas in terms of memory and time. Work closely with core tech teams to develop tools and reusable code. Customize Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) / Hardware Interface Definition Language (HIDL) for Audio, Multimedia, Network, Graphics, Sensor, and Vehicle HAL based on customer requirements. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of building Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Understand and contribute to various Application framework layers (Service, Manager, System, Activities). Familiarity with Vendor configurations, Device Manifest, and Vendor implementations. Initiate and drive test strategies and test plan design for software validation. Possess understanding of OpenGL, Vulkan, Mesa (a plus). Familiarity with JAVA or Kotlin (a plus). Preferred Qualifications Excellent programming skills in C++ and C. Strong working experience on HAL/HIDL HAL). Customization of HAL/HIDL based on customer requirements. Working knowledge of building Android AOSP. Understanding of Application framework layers (Service, Manager, System, Activities). Knowledge of Vendor configurations, Device Manifest, and Vendor implementations. Initiative and drive in developing test strategies and test plan design for software validation. Understanding of OpenGL, Vulkan, Mesa (a plus). Understanding of JAVA or Kotlin (a plus).
