Purpose of the Role This role demands a technically skilled, hands-on Multi Body Dynamics CAE Analyst who can understand the simulation requirements of a given MBD problem, identify the relevant physics and develop/apply MBD simulation methods to solve the problem through commercially available tools or by creating custom programs using programming languages. Analyst should be able to work independently and self motivated, should have Good communication, presentation/negotiation skills alongside being a Team player. Job Responsibility The key responsibilities include Vehicle level multibody dynamics (MBD) simulations using ADAMS- view/ADAM- car to evaluate and improve performance requirements. The work also includes performing sub-system level and vehicle level MBD analysis as given below: Multibody Dynamics (MBD) Model build for KnC analysis, Full vehicle Ride and Handling Simulations, Load management simulations. MBD analysis to evaluate design proposals to determine the performance gaps & risks and suggest design modification towards meeting the requirements Performance optimization with help of analytical tools Interaction with other stakeholders for project updates and performance improvements (design, test & CAE groups) Deliver clear, accurate, and detailed reports on MBD results, offering recommendations and design suggestions for performance improvements. Possess in-depth knowledge of the MBD simulation process to ensure adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with the design team to develop feasible design solutions for all identified risks. Oversee project management and ensure timely delivery. Coordinate daily analysis activities with relevant stakeholders. Conduct correlation between test and simulation results to refine and optimize the models used. Effectively communicate internally to gather the necessary inputs for setting up simulations. Apply developed capabilities to current or upcoming projects. Focus on optimizing system design through analysis of simulation outputs and collaboration with the in-house design team. Independently develop and enhance required simulation capabilities. Maintain regular communication with software vendors and conduct thorough literature reviews until target performance levels are achieved. Drive the maturation of CAE processes and document work guidelines and instructions. Participate in training sessions, conferences, and technical seminars to stay updated on industry advancements. Stakeholder Profiles & Nature of Interactions Internal HOD (Projects reviews, CAE BSC Performance Review (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually), need based) Team Lead - Annual Goal Setting & Review, DWM, Reports review meetings, Design Inputs, Analysis Updates, New Technology Introductions, Strategies, Technology Roadmaps CAE Domain Leads (Need Based) IPR: Discussion on Patents filing, Copyrights and Notarizations. Project Review meetings internal/external and update. External Software Suppliers/Vendors Reviews on- Discuss Tech trends, new tools Participation in Technical events, Seminars, Conferences (internal/external) Desired Candidate Profile Education Qualifications: ME / M Tech with MBD CAE background Work Experience: 8 10 years (Hands on CAE simulations) Preferred Industry: Automotive OEMs Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Mechanical and ICE/EV Automotive Engineering principles Knowledge of CAE/CFD fundamentals, including methods like FEA, FDM, and FVM Ability to analyse and solve complex engineering problems using CAE tools Developing automated workflows and improving CAE simulation efficiency 8-10 years of hands on analysis experience at OEM or a subsidiary Hands on experience on analysis work for MBD CAE analysis (KnC , Full vehicle level handling , Ride, Service load analysis, Vehicle level Load management simulations and DOE studies) Good understanding of Vehicle dynamics, good understanding of Suspension systems and steering systems designs, Fatigue (Theory & Hands-on). Knowledge of vehicle subsystems and full vehicle. Knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics & RLDA testing & DVPs. Analytical ability and shall be good in engineering theory and principles of design Proficiency in Adams view, Adams car, MATLAB. Exposure to vehicle dynamics optimization (HEEDS) & FEA tools will be an added advantage. Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings, both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with PLM systems is preferred Basic programming knowledge of C++/Python Good Multibody dynamics basics Good project management skills and Process Optimization Proficiency in MS Office,
