Job Description
- As a GCP DevOps Engineer at Maestro, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams to integrate and automate processes, and to implement best practices for cloud operations. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure GCP infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent. Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support efficient development and deployment processes. Monitoring & Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using GCP tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana to ensure high availability and performance. Security: Ensure security best practices are followed, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and network security. Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to resolve issues and implement new features or improvements. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide level 2 and 3 support for cloud-related issues, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure minimal downtime. Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation on infrastructure design, processes, and procedures. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on GCP. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery). Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, and SQL Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or related certifications. Experience: Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).,
