- Overview The SSIS Developer plays a critical role in ensuring the successful integration and management of data across various platforms in the organization. This position focuses on developing, testing, and maintaining SSIS packages that facilitate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, which are essential for managing and transforming data from numerous sources into streamlined data warehouses. The SSIS Developer collaborates closely with database administrators, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs, optimize data flows, and improve data accessibility for reporting and analysis purposes. With a deep understanding of SQL Server and experience in data warehousing concepts, the SSIS Developer will contribute to enhancing data quality, performance, and efficiency in our data operations. This role is vital in supporting business intelligence initiatives and ensuring that the data infrastructure can support current and future business needs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable SSIS packages for data integration. Implement ETL processes to load data from various sources. Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements for data solutions. Optimize existing SSIS packages for performance improvements. Test and validate data transformations for accuracy. Monitor and troubleshoot issues with SSIS packages and ETL jobs. Maintain documentation of SQL scripts, SSIS packages, and data flows. Work closely with database administrators to ensure data integrity. Develop and implement error handling within SSIS packages. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Perform data migrations and integration tasks as required. Assist in the creation and maintenance of data models. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Utilize version control systems to manage SSIS project lifecycle. Stay updated with emerging technologies in data integration and BI. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in SSIS development. Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL programming. Experience with ETL tools; SSIS experience is mandatory. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture. Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve data integration issues. Understanding of cloud data platforms is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization tools is desirable. Demonstrated experience in performance tuning and optimization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred. Candidates with certifications in SQL Server or SSIS will be given preference. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
