- Job Description: Product Owner/Manage- MDM About Iskraemeco & GCC Kolkata: 80 years old Iskraemeco is a global formidable player in smart metering industry. Global Capability Centre, Kolkata (known as GCC Kolkata) is engaged to provide cutting edge products and solutions in the field of electricity, water and gas metering for entire world. We are in Salt Lake City, Kolkata and new 11 floor GCC with integrated factory is also coming in Silicon Valley, New Town. People across ranks from GCC Kolkata interact with global senior leaders from utilities. Iskraemeco India is supported with a state of art integrated electronics factory located at Hyderabad with inhouse EMS, Plastic Moulding and wire harnessing facility and a new office at Ahmedabad, Gujarat with modern and well-equipped facilities. Position & Location: We have multiple opening in various levels. Responsibility: As product owner you will be required to: Design and understand business requirement from customer, take control of whiteboard for fit gap analysis and guide technical team to understand design and deliver requirement Clarify requirements as required Stakeholder management To be primary interface between commercial team (sales and technical presales) and engineering team. To support sales with rapid development of Proof of Concepts of new products and applications and to support early stage trials of existing product and product customizations. To support sales with generation of required technical material to at all stages of sales process, including generation of whitepapers where required. To capture technical requirements from sales team and customers to ensure clean and effective handover to engineering from POC to product generation. To be able to have hands on technical approach. Creating product roadmap. Participate in MDM RFI/RFPs and assist with responses Technical Solution proposal documentation and client interaction/presentation. Supporting business development teams in exploring new opportunities. Work cross-functionally, support the development teams in the SCRUM process and ensure that all important information about the MDM platform is documented. Education, Qualification and Experience: Degree or equivalent in science or engineering. Minimum 5 years in a similar role sitting behind a technical presales team as interface to engineering team. Minimum 4 years in a MDM integration. Good understanding of Enterprise Software delivery in the Smart Meter/Smart Grid Utility space, and experience with current and prevalent web technologies. Sound understanding of AMI and Smart Meter; Functional knowledge of MDM & understand Meter to cash cycle. Experience in integrating MDM with Head End System. Should have understanding of Business scenarios and converting it to MDM Business logic Competencies: Knowledge of electricity metering protocols such as DLMS. Knowledge of software installation, configuration, business validation, performance tuning, exception handling. Experience and knowledge of design methodologies; waterfall, agile, scrum. Ability to interface with other companies and staff on a technical basis. Relevant experience and familiarity with Smart Grid initiatives within Utility company.
