- Head of Business Finance is responsible for managing and leading financial strategy, planning, and analysis for our retail operations. The role involves driving profitability, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with IND AS accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 to 12 years of experience in retail finance, possessing strong expertise in MIS reporting based on IND AS, sales & margin analysis, and operational efficiency. This position requires close collaboration with management and business leaders to support strategic decision-making, store profitability, and expansion initiatives. Head of Business Finance is also responsible for managing a team of financial analysts who are responsible for reconciling financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records across all ecommerce channels. This position combines financial expertise with a deep understanding of the ecommerce industry to ensure profitability, cost control, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning & Business Partnering Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for retail operations. Partner with business leaders to drive profitability and cost efficiency. Provide financial insights on sales trends, product margins, store profitability, and other operational KPIs. 2. Management Reporting & IND AS Compliance Oversee the preparation of MIS reports aligned with IND AS. Prepare and maintain a databook for KPIs Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management and stake holders. Analyse variances between actual vs. budgeted financial performance on periodic basis and identify key reasons. 3. Sales & Margin Analysis Monitor store-wise and Ecom channel wise performance and profitability. Evaluate pricing strategies, discounting impact, and promotional effectiveness. Optimize product mix and inventory levels to maximize margins. 4. Cost Control & Operational Efficiency Identify opportunities for cost reduction across store operations, supply chain, marketing and other functions Implement financial controls to minimize shrinkage, wastage, and leakage. Monitor rental costs, store expenses, back-end support costs and logistics efficiency. Drive automation and process efficiencies in financial operations. 6. Investment & Expansion Strategy Conduct financial feasibility studies for new store openings and expansion. Assess ROI on capital expenditures and strategic investments. Support decision-making on lease negotiations and store closures. 7. Risk Management & Compliance Identify financial risks and implement mitigation plans. Liaise with auditors for statutory and internal audits. 8. Ecommerce Finance Provide financial insights on digital sales performance, customer acquisition costs, and profitability. Provide data-driven insights to improve financial performance and operational Manage logistics and fulfilment costs, optimizing last-mile delivery expenses. Assess financial feasibility of new digital initiatives, platforms, and partnerships. Key Requirements: CA with 10 to 12 years of experience in Business finance, FP&A, and Ecommerce finance roles within the retail industry. Strong knowledge of IND AS and retail financial reporting. Experience in store-level profitability analysis, sales forecasting, and cost optimization. Hands-on expertise with ERP systems, retail analytics tools, and financial dashboards. Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and strategic decision-making abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment. Manage a team of 4 to 5 people,
