- Job Summary: The Design and Program Manager will oversee the design, development, and execution of product solutions with a strong focus on material handling, refrigeration systems, and waste management technologies. The role involves managing the design and engineering teams, coordinating cross-functional projects, and ensuring that product development aligns with business objectives and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of innovative solutions in material handling, refrigeration, and waste management systems. Manage product lifecycle from concept through to production, including prototyping, testing, and final implementation. Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality expectations. Collaborate with stakeholders (customers, suppliers, internal teams) to gather product requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. Supervise a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians to deliver complex projects. Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design, engineering processes, and product performance. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to senior management and clients. Lead problem-solving efforts for technical and project-related challenges. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). 8-15 years of experience in product development, with a focus on material handling, refrigeration, and/or waste management systems. Proven track record in leading product design and development teams. Strong program management skills, including budget management, resource planning, and stakeholder communication. Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and product lifecycle management software. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry standards related to refrigeration, waste management, and material handling. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Experience: Experience in sustainable product development and environmentally friendly design. Familiarity with automation technologies in material handling and waste management.
