We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Database Management Specialist to oversee data handling, manage databases, and support data-driven initiatives for our conferences and the company. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role. - Set up and test new database and data handling systems to ensure functionality and reliability - Monitor database performance and efficiency, implementing improvements as needed - Design and prepare comprehensive reports for management to support data-driven decision-making - Develop and implement protocols for effective data processing and management - Create complex query definitions for efficient data extraction and analysis - Train colleagues on data input and extraction processes to ensure accurate and consistent data handling - Execute email marketing campaigns at scale, organizing and filtering responses, and updating database entries accordingly - Execute social media outreach initiatives, including targeted messages and campaigns in high volumes - Coordinate logistics for events, including the design, production, and distribution of collateral materials, while maintaining production schedules - Develop and maintain event databases with meticulous attention to detail, focusing on filtering and segmentation - Provide ad hoc support to company Directors as needed Qualifications Graduated to degree level or equivalent in your chosen discipline, ideally Marketing, Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages or similar Fluent in written and spoken English Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible is essential Works well as part of fast-paced team, prioritizing effectively and managing workload Excellent IT skills - proficient in both Windows and Mac operating systems (i.e. PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent organizational, analytical and administrative skills, meticulous attention to detail Flexible in approach and able to amend hours as required to suit business needs Adept at general administrative tasks like budgeting, data entry, and word processing Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills Eye for detail and accuracy Ability to understand business needs Experience with own database software/web applications Up-to-date knowledge of technology Our Commitment We value a diverse workforce and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive.
