- Job Overview: The Dirctor of Data and Analytics at KASH Tech will drive the strategy, execution, and delivery of data and analytics solutions across modern cloud platforms, AI/ML, and big data ecosystems. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, deep hands-on expertise in data engineering, data science, business intelligence (BI), and cloud technologies, and strong leadership to grow and mentor the team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, and AI-driven analytics, and will play a key role in helping clientsparticularly in manufacturing and public sector domainsmodernize their data ecosystems. Key Responsibilities:1. Data Strategy & Leadership Define and execute data modernization strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals. Lead enterprise cloud data transformations, with a focus on Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. Develop and implement best-of-fit methodologies to tailor solutions to client needs. Identify opportunities for AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making. 2. Hands-on Technical Expertise & Solution Architecture Architect and implement scalable data platforms using Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL. Hands-on development of data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and real-time analytics using tools like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Databricks SQL. Drive the adoption of AI/ML-based data insights using Azure Machine Learning and Databricks AI models. Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Optimize big data processing and cloud cost efficiency across platforms. 3. Project Execution & Delivery Oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data analytics projects. Provide hands-on development, troubleshooting, and optimization across all data layers. Define performance tuning strategies for high-volume data processing in Databricks and Azure. Act as the technical escalation point for complex data engineering and analytics challenges. 4. Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, data scientists, and BI specialists. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, especially in Databricks, AI/ML, and cloud. Conduct workshops and training sessions on best practices in modern data architecture. 5. Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Support Work closely with clients to understand business needs and propose best-fit data solutions. Lead pre-sales efforts, RFP responses, and client presentations showcasing Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and AI expertise. Collaborate with sales teams to define service offerings and industry-specific data strategies. Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, data engineering, or related fields. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow, Lakehouse Architecture). Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, SQL, and cloud data engineering. Strong experience in data lakes, data warehousing, ETL, and streaming analytics. Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, and Spark for big data processing. Deep understanding of AI/ML workflows, predictive analytics, and automation. Experience in manufacturing, public sector, or mid-sized enterprises is a plus. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
