Job Description
- Job role demands a Senior Naval Architect/Marine Engineer/Mechanical Engineer with Design/shipbuilding background to manage global ship design projects. Job Responsibilities Person shall be main single point responsible to the lead design projects as the manager for all activities and ensure that project is completed within acceptable quality, schedule and budget. Responsibilities shall include: 1. Lead the design scope technically in collaboration with various design departments (Concept design, Stability, structure, machinery, electrical and detail design). 2. Lead the customer interaction, understand customer requirements and plan accordingly. 3. Segregate the job scope into various departments and monitoring the work progress. 4. Lead the project scheduling and communication together with a project planner/project engineer. 5. Monitor the health of project in terms of quality, schedule and budget. 6. Lead the interaction with other third-party shipyard, class, partners, tank testing, etc 7. Estimate the resources for Job scope to support business development Above activities can also be carried out with the support of assigned Project Engineers. It is required that candidate should have functional knowledge of ships operation and design. Qualification: Naval Architect /Mechanical/Marine (B. Tech or M. Tech) with 8-12 years of experience in a reputed ship design/building/repair firms, classification society, technical management, etc. Desired profile of the candidate: 1. Naval Architect/Mechanical Engineer with well-rounded experience of new build, conversion and retrofit related design in all spheres including Ships concept design, stability, statutory, structures, Detailed engineering (structure, piping, outfitting) and Machinery 2. Good practical knowledge of actual construction and installation. 3. Sound experience of working in a reputed Naval Architectural design firm or classification society plan approval office. 4. Should have experience of handling a team of 3-4 people 5. Very strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.,
