Role Overview: The Head Chef at Adams Ale is responsible for leading the kitchen team, managing culinary operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food. The role involves menu development, maintaining food safety standards, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations. The Head Chef will collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure the kitchen's seamless operation aligns with the restaurants overall vision. Key Responsibilities: Culinary Leadership: Develop and execute a diverse and creative menu that aligns with Adams Ales concept and vision. Ensure the quality, presentation, and consistency of all dishes. Lead the kitchen team through clear communication, effective delegation, and hands-on support. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring a high level of performance and teamwork. Schedule shifts for kitchen staff, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure a positive and productive work environment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and culinary excellence. Inventory & Cost Control: Oversee kitchen inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to prevent waste. Maintain food cost control by monitoring portion sizes, waste, and managing supplier relationships. Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines while maintaining high food standards. Menu Development: Continuously develop and refine the menu based on seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and current trends. Create special dishes and seasonal offerings to maintain a dynamic and engaging menu. Collaborate with the General Manager for pricing strategies and profit margins. Health, Safety, and Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and cleanliness standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the kitchen meets the highest hygiene standards. Train staff on proper food handling techniques and safety procedures. Collaboration with Management: Work closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house operations. Participate in strategic planning for promotions, events, and special menus. Provide input on menu pricing, food trends, and customer feedback. Customer Experience: Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional food that meets or exceeds expectations. Address any food-related complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner. Strive to create memorable dining experiences through innovative and flavorful dishes. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Expertise in menu development, inventory management, and cost control. Extensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
