Job Title: AutoCAD Engineer / Designer Electrical Location: Pune, Maharashtra Company: Pravin Electricals Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Engineer / Designer to join our team at Pravin Electricals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical equipment, symbols, and drafting techniques. You will create, review, and refine electrical designs, working closely with engineers to ensure all projects meet company and client standards. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed working drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and connection specifications using AutoCAD. Review tender AutoCAD drawings provided by the consultant for accuracy and compliance. Develop shop drawings that align with site conditions and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) specifications. Prepare the Electrical BOQ (E-BOQ) based on the existing work order and approved shop drawings. Extract item-wise quantities from approved shop drawings to generate Material Requisition Notes (MRNs). Draft As-Built drawings accurately reflecting the final installation. Prepare technical documents such as cable schedules, single-line diagrams (SLD), and voltage drop calculations. Conduct site visits to assess installation conditions and create initial sketches. Collaborate with teams to explain designs and make necessary adjustments for project requirements. Submit finalized electrical drawings for implementation and provide on-site support as needed. Ensure all designs comply with company policies, industry standards, and project guidelines. Qualifications & Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools. 3 -4 years experience in drafting related to electrical substation design and ELV systems preferred. Working knowledge of Revit, is a plus Working knowledge of electrical circuitry, equipment symbols, and design standards. Experience creating electrical schematics and layouts for substations. Ability to draft with precision for lighting, power, and special systems (e.g., telephone, TV, fire alarms). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
