Job Description We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Linux Desktop Support intern to join our IT support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to begin their career in Linux desktop environments and IT support. Job Role: Linux Desktop Installation and Configuration: Perform clean installations of various Linux distributions Configure desktop environments (GNOME, KDE, Xfce) Set up user accounts and system preferences Install and configure essential desktop applications Troubleshoot basic installation and configuration issues System Maintenance: Perform system updates and package management Manage software installations using package managers Conduct basic system performance monitoring Implement basic system security practices Create and manage user accountsTechnical Support: Provide first-level support for Linux desktop users Assist in resolving common software and hardware compatibility issues Document technical issues and solutions Add Printer and sharing documents scanning Communicate technical information to non-technical users Support users in transitioning to Linux desktop environment Skills Required: Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Linux operating systems Familiarity with at least one Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint) Basic command-line interface (CLI) knowledge Understanding of file system structures Basic networking concepts Ability to follow technical documentation and guides Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities Patience in working with users of varying technical backgrounds Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies Basic troubleshooting skills Qualifications: BCA, MCA, BE, B.Tech or similar education level or certification.
