- Job Title : Senior Business Development Manager Partnerships - Creavis (Innovation Unit) Reporting to : Head of Partnerships - Creavis (Innovation Unit) Entity : Evonik India Private Limited Work location : Thane Purpose of the Position : The position ensures that - The New Innovation Growth Areas of Evonik are uniformly supported through fact-based analyses of new or adjacent technologies and markets, as well as independent recommendations derived from them. Internal stakeholders are supported in the project-related search, identification, and evaluation of suitable external industrial partners. External technology offerings (e.g. M&A, investment or technology opportunities, etc.) are analyzed in a timely manner and corresponding independent recommendations are provided. Key Responsibilities: Spearheads project-related technology and market analyses (conducts literature and patent landscape research, draws fact-based conclusions, validates findings with internal/external experts, provides independent recommendations, documents work in the form of detailed technology and market roadmaps). Generates detailed company profiles of suitable innovation partners and contextualizes them within the strategic framework of the New Innovation Growth Areas. Identifies and analyzes suitable external partners (startups, SMEs, companies) in consultation with Evonik's internal stakeholders. Documents results (technology/market evaluations and roadmaps, company profiles, meeting minutes, etc.) that are both comprehensive and easy to understand. Education, Certification and/or relevant experience required Completed natural science degree (PhD in Chemistry [preferred], Physics, Biology or related) - with honors/distinction. Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the field of research & development, innovation, new business development, or patent law. Proficient in conducting patent and scientific literature searches and analyses. Additional skills and abilities required for this position First experiences in leading interdisciplinary teams without disciplinary responsibility. Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex issues, analyze complex information, draw conclusions, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. Skilled in creating visually appealing and effective presentations using MS PowerPoint. Technical Knowledge (E.g. specialized knowledge required to perform all the required tasks) Strong interest in new technologies and markets, as well as their financial and strategic implications. Strong familiarity with Evoniks technology platforms and markets. Others (if required by the position) Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, with additional foreign language skills being an advantage.
