- Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Lab Technician to join our team. The Senior Lab Technician will oversee laboratory operations, ensure the accuracy of experimental procedures, and manage lab equipment and materials. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Management: Oversee the daily operations of the lab, ensuring that equipment, materials, and supplies are stocked and maintained. Manage the setup and calibration of laboratory equipment. Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct experiments, record findings, and analyze results. Prepare detailed reports of experimental outcomes and ensure all data is documented accurately. Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical support for complex laboratory procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise with equipment or experiments. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior lab technicians and interns. Provide training on laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and equipment handling. Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and internal protocols. Perform routine quality checks and calibration of laboratory instruments. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in lab workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of lab supplies and chemicals, ordering new materials as necessary. Ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines. Collaboration: Work closely with Doctors, Therapists, and other departments to support ongoing projects and research initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (Masters degree preferred). Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior technician role. Skills: In-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
