Job Description: You will set the standard for accounting operations execution, ensuring journal entry quality, policy governance and compliance and controls while driving process standardization and automation across the CAO organization. In your day-to-day role you will Manage an existing Americas and Asia Pacific based team of approximately 15 individuals. Oversee the work of approximately 75 third-party outsourced employees responsible for the accounting close process, account reconciliations and the enhancement of reporting and governance activities. Perform regular third-party performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual service level agreements and key performance indicators. Partner with third-party and internal stakeholders on close and reporting process improvements. Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance teams to increase standardization and automation in current processes. Identify, prioritize and assist with implementing automation and AI tools to simplify and enhance our accounting processes. Drive best practices for key global accounting operational processes, including: journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet review procedures, etc. Overall ownership and oversight of the general ledger close process, close calendar, and accounting for prepaids, fixed assets, leases and intangibles. Maintain appropriate internal controls for all relevant areas and partner closely with financial controls team, SOX team and external auditors during control review and testing. Work with finance, IT and operations teams as necessary on system implementations, including the definition of requirements and user acceptance testing and sign-off. Stay apprised of all new SOX compliance guidelines and new accounting guidance. Act as India site leader for the global finance team. Minimum 15 years of accounting experience driving Previous experience leading high performing teams Previous experience driving results in a global organization CPA active or inactive required Experience analyzing business processes and identifying areas for optimization and automation. Flexibility to manage multiple high priority projects and re-prioritize critical issues, as necessary.
