- Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager to support and enhance the efficiency of the automobile manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in automotive production, process optimization, and team leadership. This role requires hands-on involvement in daily production activities, quality assurance, and process improvement to ensure smooth operations and meet company objectives. 1. Production Planning & Execution Assist the Production Manager in developing and implementing production schedules to meet demand. Monitor daily production output and ensure targets are met within quality and cost parameters. Coordinate with procurement, quality control, and maintenance teams to avoid disruptions. 2. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Assist in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles for continuous improvement. Optimize resource allocation to maintain cost-effectiveness in production. 3. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure all production processes comply with automobile industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.). Work closely with the quality assurance team to identify defects and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues. 4. Team Management & Supervision Supervise production supervisors and shop-floor workers, ensuring adherence to company policies. Conduct training programs to improve workforce skill levels and efficiency. Motivate and support the production team to achieve performance goals. 5. Machine Maintenance & Downtime Reduction Assist in managing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Coordinate with the maintenance team to resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently. 6. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as needed. 7. Reporting & Documentation Maintain and update production reports, shift logs, and performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
