- Whizzhr is hiring Technical Architect and Engineering Manager in Mumbai Dear Candidate, Below is the JD for your Easy reference Position : Technical Architect and Engineering Manager (Full Stack Development)Lo cation: MumbaiE xperience: 8+ years (with at least 2 years in architecture and team management roles R o le Overview W e are seeking a Technical Architect & Engineering Manager (Full Stack) to lead, architect, and guide a growing team of full stack developers working with Python (Django, FastAPI) and React with TypeScript. This hybrid role demands a strong individual contributor who can also act as a technical mentor, people manager, and delivery owner. Y o ull set architectural direction, drive technical decisions, and ensure engineering best practices, while also leading the team towards high performance, growth, and timely delivery. K e y Responsibilities T e chnical Leadership & Architecture O w n the technical architecture and design of scalable web applications.Ev aluate and implement architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven design, clean architecture).Ma ke strategic technology choices in backend, frontend, database, and DevOps.Co nduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, performance standards, and security principles.Ac t as a hands-on contributor in critical modules and code reviews when necessary.Op timize database and application performance (especially PostgreSQL query tuning, schema design, etc.). T e am & Delivery Management L e ad and mentor a team of Full Stack Developers.Fa cilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery in collaboration with Product Managers.Dr ive a culture of engineering excellence through clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and peer reviews.Mo nitor and manage delivery timelines, technical risks, and quality benchmarks.Co nduct regular 1:1s, set development goals, and support individual growth paths for team members.Co llaborate cross-functionally with Design, QA, DevOps, and Product teams. R e quired Qualifications 7 + years of hands-on experience in software development.2+ years in a combined technical architecture + engineering management role.De ep expertise in Python (Django or FastAPI) and React with TypeScript.St rong experience with PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.St rong understanding of RESTful APIs, system integration, and microservices.Pr oven ability to design secure, scalable, high-performance applications.Ex perience with unit testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.Ex posure to AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).Ex cellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. P r eferred Skills E x perience with Docker and containerized deployments.Un derstanding of DevOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.Fa miliarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).Aw areness of security best practices and application hardening techniques.Ab ility to build and scale distributed teams and development processes.
