Job Description
- Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and overseeing financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple financial activities, including budgeting, taxation, and audits. Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings. Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for timely submissions. Maintain statutory records and filings as per legal requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and financial planning. Analyze financial data to provide insights on cost control and profitability. Monitor variances between actual vs. budgeted financials and recommend corrective actions. Audit & Internal Controls: Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation. Implement financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy in accounting. Review company expenses and ensure adherence to financial policies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: CA/ICWA (Inter) or MBA in Finance is a plus. Experience in financial auditing or taxation compliance. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
