- Job Title: Senior PHP Developer (CodeIgniter & SQL) Location: Bangalore (Work from office) Experience Required: 6+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced PHP Developer with 6+ years of expertise in PHP, strong proficiency in CodeIgniter, and a solid background in SQL database management. The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication skills as they will be interacting with international clients regularly. We expect the developer to follow clean coding principles, adhere to best practices, and deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize PHP-based applications using CodeIgniter. Work extensively with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for designing schemas, writing complex queries, and performance optimization. Interact with international clients to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure smooth project execution. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Debug and troubleshoot application issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and other team members to deliver seamless user experiences. Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP and CodeIgniter developments, security best practices, and emerging technologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of hands-on experience with PHP and CodeIgniter framework. Strong expertise in SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) with query optimization and database design skills. Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) to engage effectively with international clients. Strong understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), MVC architecture, and RESTful API development. Experience in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code following SOLID principles. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket). Understanding of web security best practices and ability to implement secure coding techniques. Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and third-party API integrations. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and provide high-quality deliverables. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular). Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Prior experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
