Python Developer Lead @ IGT Solutions

Job Description

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming language
• In-depth knowledge of Flask framework for API development
• Experience with API design and development best practices.
• Understanding of security standards for APIs
• Familiarity with task scheduling and caching mechanisms
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming concepts
• Experience working with JSON data structures.
• Knowledge of AWS DynamoDB and boto framework is a preferred.
• Experience with model-driven UI development is a bonus.
• Experience with Nginx and Gunicorn is a plus.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Identify the drug screening requirements for this position

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality Flask-based APIs, adhering to best practices and security standards.
• Design and implement efficient and scalable API architectures.
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable Python code.
• Leverage Flask's features for task scheduling, caching, and other performance optimizations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) in Python
• Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless API integration.
• Work closely with business and technical leadership to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Experience with building dashboards is a plus.
• Handle large JSON data payloads efficiently.
• Knowledge of AWS DynamoDB and boto framework for interacting with AWS services is a significant advantage.
• Experience with model-driven UI development is a plus.
• Experience with Nginx and Gunicorn for deployment and scaling of Flask applications is an asset.
• Possess a foundational understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
