Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a Junior or Associate Cloud Operations Engineer to support our growing Azure infrastructure and operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cloud technologies and eager to build a career in Azure operations. You will assist in monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and operational maintenance of cloud systems, while learning from senior engineers in a fast-paced environment .
Responsibility
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, etc.)
- Support incident triage and resolution under guidance from senior engineers
- Perform basic troubleshooting of virtual machines, connectivity, and resource availability
- Contribute to infrastructure deployments using Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure CLI
- Help maintain system documentation and operational runbooks
- Participate in patching, backup validation, and scheduled maintenance activities
- Support monitoring configuration using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Grafana
- Perform basic scripting or automation tasks using PowerShell or Bash
- Log issues and changes using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, JIRA) Requirement
- 12 years of experience in IT operations or cloud support (freshers with strong fundamentals may be considered)
- Understanding of core Azure services (VMs, Resource Groups, VNets, NSGs, Storage)
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Grafana, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Nice to Have: AZ-900 or AZ-104 certification (or in progress) Basic experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or YAML-based configurations Knowledge of backup policies and DR concepts Exposure to container technologies like Docker Experience working with version control (e.g., Git)
