Role & responsibilities
1. Manage the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with the greenfield projects scope, schedule, and budget.
2. Manage procurement processes, vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
4. Ensure supplier performance meets the required quality, cost, and delivery standards.
5. Oversee the logistics and transportation, coordinate with logistics service providers, manage costs & timely delivery, ensure compliance with customs and contractual terms and conditions.
6. Establish efficient inventory management system to track the delivery, storage, and usage of materials.
7. Manage procurement and transportation plans based on project timelines and needs.
8. Manage and control supply chain expenses, tracking costs for materials, shipping, and ensuring supply chain expenses are within SCM budget for the greenfield project.
9. Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, delays, and cost overruns.
10. Collaborate with internal teams, including project manager, operations, finance, and HR, to ensure smooth coordination of SCM activities.
11. Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and service providers to get cost-effective quality solutions.
12. Promote green sourcing channels and sustainable logistics practices.
Manage SCM processes for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Certifications in Supply Chain Management is desirable.
Experience: Min. 8-10 years of experience in SCM, with at least 3-5 years relevant experience in a greenfield project. Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end supply chain processes, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
