Position Summary: As a Shopify Developer, you will play a vital role in optimizing, enhancing, and maintaining our Shopify-based e-commerce website. You will work closely with our UI/UX designer to create a user-friendly, responsive, and scalable online store. Your expertise in Shopify development will enable you to customize existing themes, extend functionalities, and implement SEO/CRO best practices for improved conversion rates. Key Responsibilities: Continuously optimize, enhance, and maintain our Shopify-based e-commerce website (bathroom4less.co.uk). Collaborate closely with the UI/UX designer to develop a user-friendly, forward-thinking, responsive, and scalable front-end experience. Manage and customize pre-existing Shopify templates and themes. Deliver an optimized, fast-loading, and super responsive website across desktop and mobile devices. Demonstrate superb troubleshooting and debugging skills. Extend Shopify functionalities using storefront APIs, Liquid programming, metafields, etc. Manage and maintain the existing Shopify theme and create new themes if needed. Implement SEO/CRO best practices for improved website ranking and conversion rates. Design and develop responsive website layouts optimized for various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify developments and industry trends. Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Technical Capabilities: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Shopify developer. Solid experience in cart-level, product-level customization, and multi-level promotions. Experience with advanced Shopify concepts such as layout and template alterations, product attributes, cart properties, and a deep understanding of Shopify object limitations and possibilities. Strong knowledge of HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS3, and Javascript (including jQuery framework). Proficiency in AJAX, Apache/PHP/MySQL. Expertise in developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Working knowledge of custom Shopify app development. Knowledge of Shopify store speed optimization techniques. Expertise in Shopify Liquid template language, Shopify Admin/Storefront API. Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with strong understanding of Shopify's APIs, webhooks, and app development. Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, React, and React websites. Proficiency in backend development using Node.js and familiarity with frameworks like Express.js. Experience with database systems like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of version control systems like Git (Github). Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Ensure smooth connections with Shopify apps, marketing tools, and platform APIs. Working knowledge of 3rd-party APIs, services, and Shopify plugins. Experience with theme-kit or similar code push methodology.
