Software Engineer in Test - Mumbai - ISS @ ISS Corporate

Job Description

• Candidate will be part of QA team, responsible for different types of testing especially Functional Manual Testing which would contribute to 70 - 80% of overall tasks.
  • As part of functional testing document testcases to be verified. Prepare and maintain software testing documents for applications under test
  • Troubleshoot and debug errors (including analyzing server logs) to identify root cause and coordinate with respective teams for fixing and re - testing
  • Participate in status calls with global teams and share regular updates
  • For existing new applications contribute towards converting testcases into testscripts as well as assist in execution of automated suite.
  • Provide support for functional testing in weekends for the critical releases in Production.
• Candidate should be willing to contribute towards automation (using Java Selenium) especially debugging for failures encountered in execution. Contribution towards development of automation framework can be long term goal. This may contribute towards 20 - 30% or lesser depending on project priorities
• Flexible to learn new process / technologies as per the team needs expansion

DESIRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or related discipline is mandatory
• Candidate should have 1 - 2yrs of Manual / Functional Automation Testing using Waterfall / Agile model. Candidates with higher or lower experience will be considered on case - by - case basis.
• Candidates should be able to create as well as interpret SQL queries
• Candidates should be familiar with Linux operating system.
• Candidate should have good analytical and problem - solving skills
• Candidates need to have knowledge on Java, preferably as part of current profile or recently completed course on Java or similar technology
• Preferably based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
