- Our client is Kanpur based leading Leather Products & Footwear Manufacturing & Exporting Company. Job Location : Kanpur Position Overview : Footwear Sourcing Head shall be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement, development, and sourcing of footwear products for our own brand. This role typically involves strategic planning, supplier management, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality products. Key Responsibilities: (1) Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global footwearmanufacturers or suppliers. Establish and maintainstrong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and deliverystandards. (2) Product Development: Collaborate with design, productdevelopment, and marketingteams to ensurethat the sourced footwear meets the desired specifications. Manage the production process,ensuring that productsare made accordingto brand guidelines, quality standards, and production timelines. (3) Cost Management: Oversee the pricingstructure for footwearproducts, balancing qualitywith cost to ensure profitability. Manage budgets and provide forecastsfor sourcing costs. (4) Supply Chain& Logistics: Oversee the logistics of footwear delivery, ensuring that products are shipped on time and at optimal cost. Manage inventory to avoid overstocking or stockouts. Coordinate with logisticsteams to monitorthe transportation and delivery of goods. (5) Trend Analysisand Market Research: Keep up-to-date with global footweartrends, consumer behaviour, and market conditions. Assess market needsand advise on product innovation and new trends in the footwear industry. Monitor competitors and market developments to adapt strategies. (6) Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure that products meet industry standards and regulatory compliance, such as safetyand environmental regulations. Oversee quality controlchecks, ensuring footwearis free from defects and meets the brand's standards. Desired Profile : Any Graduate + PGD (Supply Chain Management) Specialized footwear or textile studies will be beneficial. Should have 10-15 years Experience in Sourcing & Procurement in Footwear / leather industry. Previous leadership rolesor team management experience is often required. Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skillsfor working with suppliers to get the best deals. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and externalsuppliers across different regions.
