About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation QA Lead to drive our test automation & manual strategy, ensure the quality of our software products, and lead a team of QA engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and mentoring QA teams to achieve high efficiency and accuracy in testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the automation testing efforts, defining test strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Implement continuous testing as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify test scenarios, create test plans, and manage test data.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and provide solutions for test failures.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, ensuring best automation practices are followed.
- Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years in software testing, with at least 3 years in automation testing and 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).
- Must have good experience in STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience in API automation testing (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with performance and security testing tools is a plus.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based test environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with mobile automation testing.
