An organisation is seeking Head of Business Development Desired Qualifications: Preferably Engineering graduate with a minimum of 10 years of experience At least 3 years of Sales / BD and overall, 5 years in the Solar Energy sector Technical Knowledge of solar rooftop/ ground mounted design and implementation Experience in bidding for public / govt projects preferred Language proficiency English, Hindi and strong preference for Marathi as the market in focus shall be the Maharashtra state region High proficiency in MS Office tools not limited to PowerPoint, MS Excel. Experience in online Client presentations / Webinars shall be a strong advantage Responsibilities: Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Set sales targets and ensure targets are me Develop comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives and market dynamics. Utilize insights to formulate targeted approaches for market penetration and growth. Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with customers. Foster strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and regulatory bodies to stay informed about policy changes and industry developments. Lead Generation and Sales Pipeline Management: Drive lead generation efforts through proactive outreach, networking, and participation in industry events. Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective communication with prospects. Collaborate closely with the sales team to optimize conversion rates and achieve revenue targets. Focus on expanding on Geographical portfolio of Clients Review and improve the Online Marketing Product Development and Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and feedback for product improvement and innovation. Provide insights and feedback on market demands to inform product roadmap decisions. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to capitalize on opportunities for product differentiation. Financial Analysis and Deal Structuring: Conduct/Assist financial analysis and feasibility assessments for rooftop solar projects, including ROI calculations, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments. Structure and negotiate business deals, contracts, and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors. Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing business development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive professional growth and achievement of team goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and excellence.
