Job Title: Facade Draughtsman Location: Andheri, Mumbai Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Facade Draughtsman with at least 5 years of experience in the facade industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in preparing detailed shop drawings for various facade systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and securing approvals from consultants and clients. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of facade materials and construction techniques, and the ability to coordinate effectively with design, engineering, and site teams. Key Responsibilities: Shop Drawings & Detailing: Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for facade systems (Concrete Facades, GFRC cladding, glazing, aluminum panels, etc.). Ensure that all drawings comply with project requirements, industry standards, and building regulations. Develop sections, elevations, and connection details for facade elements. Drawing Approvals & Coordination: Submit shop drawings to consultants and clients for approval and follow up to secure timely approvals. Revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring all modifications align with project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve design conflicts and technical issues. Material & Structural Considerations: Incorporate correct facade materials, profiles, and fixing systems in the drawings. Ensure compatibility of materials with structural elements and assess tolerances and expansion joints. Compliance & Standards: Maintain adherence to international facade design standards and local building regulations. Ensure facade designs meet safety, performance, and aesthetic requirements. Project Coordination & Documentation: Work closely with designers, consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of facade work. Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions, approvals, and document control. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Facade Draughtsman in the construction or architectural industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other drafting software. Strong knowledge of facade systems, glazing, curtain walls, cladding, aluminium structures, concrete facades, GFRC. Experience in preparing detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Familiarity with international facade standards and local building regulations. Excellent communication skills for liaising with consultants and project teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of facade engineering principles and structural analysis is a must. Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an advantage.
