Job Description
Job Title: Data Architect

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise-level data platforms across Azure, AWS, and Databricks.
- Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, and Databricks.
- Develop and execute data migration strategies, including on-prem to cloud transitions.
- Design and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures using platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data ecosystems.
- Lead cloud cost optimization efforts through automation, usage analysis, and governance best practices.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines into data engineering workflows.
- Architect identity and access controls, leveraging Azure AD, SSO, and B2B/B2C integrations.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders to define and evolve enterprise data architecture strategies.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or related roles.
- Proven expertise in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks).
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, Apache Spark, and data pipeline development.
- Deep understanding of data warehouse and data lake architecture patterns.
- Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python, Scala, or Spark SQL.
- Experience with data governance, data cataloging, and security best practices.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, DevOps tools, and automation frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Azure Data Engineer, AWS Big Data, or Databricks.
- Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
- Exposure to machine learning workflows or data science environments.
- Familiarity with data catalog and metadata management tools like Purview, Informatica, or Collibra.
