Senior Resident - Internal Medicine @ Fortis

Job Description

• Look after & manage the Internal Medicine patients under the guidance of the consultant
• In the absence of the Consultant to faithfully look after the Internal Medicine patients along the indicated line of treatment.
• To be an in-house consultant for all emergency situations encountered in the hospital.
• Actively participate in presentations of CMEs and Journal clubs. Assist the consultant in research, camps, presentations, referral reply to doctors etc.
• Assist the consultants in all emergency cases. Assist in scheduling of cases and coordinating the department activities. To co-ordinate the Inter and Intra-departmental activities
• Participate actively in the teaching program of nursing staff and technicians. To keep up-breast with the latest technology and innovations in the field of Internal Medicine.
• To take care of discharge procedures for the patient and guide the resident doctors.
• Supervise all nursing/para medical & non medical staff of the department to maintain discipline and high standard of medical care at the department as per standard operating procedure.
• Assists the Consultant for:

..1. Special material management requirement

..2. Ensure quality of performance of the Internal Medicine department

..3. Complaint redressal of patients

..4. Co-ordination with patients for study and check-ups

Co-ordination with the OT staff for the preparedness of the procedures like equipment, OT supplies, patient records and medical history etc.
