Job Description
- A Snapshot of Your Day Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of business license demands (Software Asset Management/ License Management) to meet business needs. How Youll Make an Impact Ensure compliance to all terms and conditions for designated managed licenses; License Support: 2nd and 3rd level support for Siemens-Energy internal software asset matters; Build an in-depth licensing knowledge about designated products, through observing and understanding issues and recurring problems, building up a knowledge base for future use; Supports end-users in licensing questions for the designated products; Conducts mass mailing communication for software removal measures for software in scope; Quality assurance of SW asset, HW asset, commercial and organizational data; Installation Support: On Demand provision of software sources and license keys in exceptional cases; Management of named user license portals and license keys in scope; Provide SAM Reports regularly and special SAM reports on demand; Supports Asset Owners by provision of instructions and manuals for setting up inventory delivery; Identification and Management of license usage optimization initiatives. What You Bring Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4-6 years of experience in Software Asset Management (Senior Role). Understanding of Software Asset Management Framework and Services. General knowledge of various IT technologies, IT services, projects, and their cost structure. Knowledge about typical software licensing terms and metrics. Very detailed knowledge about specific software licensing terms and metrics for one or more SW products is a plus.
