Job Description: Thinks for India is seeking a skilled and experienced English News Anchor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering news in English with clarity, professionalism, and engagement. As the face of our English news broadcasts, you will play a pivotal role in keeping our audience informed about the latest developments and providing insightful commentary on current events. Key Responsibilities: Deliver English news stories, breaking news, and special reports with clarity and engaging presentation. Conduct live interviews with guests, experts, and correspondents in English. Write and edit scripts for English news segments, ensuring accuracy and fluency. Collaborate with producers, reporters, and editors to create compelling English news content. Stay updated on current events, trends, and breaking news to deliver timely and relevant updates in English. Engage with viewers through social media and other platforms to build a strong English-speaking audience. Manage on-air responsibilities under pressure, including during live breaking news situations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred. 3.5-5 years of experience as an English News Anchor or in a similar role is preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong on-air presence with excellent English public speaking abilities. Proven ability to handle live broadcasts and breaking news with professionalism. Familiarity with English news production and editorial processes. Proficiency in using teleprompters, microphones, and other broadcasting equipment. Deep understanding of ethical journalism standards and practices.
