- # Immediate Joiner # Saas product based company # only from Product based company CTC: upto 25 -28 LPA Title: Lead - Automation Test Engineer Experience: 4 to 8 years Job location: Hyderabad (Work from office) Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Lead Automation Tester. As a Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough Automation and Manual testing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and interested in starting a career in software quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Strategy and Planning: a. Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for the project. b. Define the scope of automation testing and identify suitable areas for automated coverage. 2. Automation Framework Design: a. Architect and maintain the Cypress automation framework. b. Ensure that the framework is scalable, maintainable, and efficient. c. Develop custom commands and plugins in Cypress to extend its functionality. 3. Team Leadership: a. Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers. b. Allocate tasks, ensure deadlines are met, and provide technical guidance on automation tools and processes. 4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: a. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure test automation is aligned with project objectives. 5. Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Deployment (CD): a. Integrate Cypress tests with CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). b. Ensure tests are run as part of the build process, and failures are flagged quickly. 6. Test Execution and Reporting: a. Execute automated tests regularly and provide detailed reports of results. b. Analyze test failures and work with development teams to resolve issues. c. Optimize test execution times to ensure the efficiency of regression tests. 7. Code Reviews and Best Practices: a. Conduct code reviews for the automation scripts written by team members. b. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices for test automation. 8. Test Data Management: a. Ensure that appropriate test data is available for automation. b. Develop strategies to manage dynamic data during test execution. Skills & Qualifications: Cypress Automation Framework: Strong experience with Cypress.io for end-to-end testing, including writing, maintaining, and optimizing automated test cases. Minimum of 5-7 years" experience in Cypress.io Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA Lead Position. JavaScript/TypeScript: Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript as Cypress is built on top of these languages. Git/GitHub: Version control knowledge to manage test scripts and collaborate with the team. CI/CD Tools: Experience in integrating Cypress tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI). Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with tools like Jira or Trello for task tracking. Test Management: Ability to track, document, and report bugs, along with experience using test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr). Communication: Excellent communication skills to work with different teams and present automation progress or results to stakeholders.
