Job Description
I. Job Title & Summary:
- Job Title: Face-to-Face Fundraiser, Street Fundraiser, or similar like in Mall Fundraiser.
- Summary: Briefly explain the role, emphasizing its focus on direct engagement with potential donors to raise funds for the organization's mission.
II. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Fundraising:
- Engage with the public in designated areas (e.g., streets, events) to solicit donations.
- Clearly communicate the organization's mission and impact.
- Effectively present fundraising appeals and explain donation options.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Handle cash donations and issue receipts.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish rapport with potential donors.
- Answer questions and address concerns.
- Follow up with donors after initial interactions.
- Gather feedback on fundraising efforts.
- Performance Goals:
- Achieve individual fundraising targets.
- Contribute to overall fundraising goals.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and donations.
- Other Duties:
- Follow all relevant fundraising regulations and policies.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Assist with other fundraising tasks as needed.
III. Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- People Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and engage with individuals.
- Sales and Persuasion Skills: Ability to persuade individuals to donate and support the organization.
- Sales & Financial Literacy: Basic understanding of sales processes, financial reporting, and related policies.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet fundraising goals.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other fundraisers and team members.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to different fundraising environments and situations.
- Previous Fundraising Experience: Desired, but not always required.
IV. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Experience in Sales or Customer Service: Preferred.
- Experience in Fundraising: Preferred.
