Job Description
Role Expectations:
- Automate and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines ensuring fast, frequent, and reliable deployments with built-in security controls.
- Embed security at every stage of the software development lifecycle, from code analysis to deployment, following "shift-left" principles.
- Collaborate closely with development, platform engineering, operations, and security teams to align on secure design and delivery practices.
- Monitor and improve platform health, performance, and security posture, ensuring maximum uptime and incident prevention.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage platform resources efficiently and securely.
- Drive vulnerability management, proactively identifying, assessing, and remediating risks across the application and infrastructure.
- Establish feedback loops for continuous improvement, integrating consumer and internal stakeholder insights into platform evolution.
- Champion best practices in DevSecOps methodologies, fostering a culture of security awareness and shared responsibility across teams.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and automation strategies to enhance platform security, scalability, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Strong coding/scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Knowledge of security tooling (SAST, DAST, container security scanners, dependency vulnerability checkers).
- Proficient in monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack).
- Solid grasp of networking, VPNs, proxies, and firewalls with respect to secure infrastructure design.
- Experience with secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, etc.) and automated compliance tooling.
