Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Test Lead (14+ years of experience) to drive and lead Test Automation initiatives and practices. This role requires hands-on expertise in Test automation including UI functional testing, API Testing, and Performance testing. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation of Best Practices in Automation Testing and Test Management. This role also includes the expertise in tooling rationalization.
Roles & Responsibilities
Drive and lead UI, API, and Non-Functional Testing (NFR) Testing best practices.
Architect and enhance Test Automation frameworks.
Evaluate, Implement, and govern test automation tools.
Define and establish enterprise-wide test automation strategies, aligning with company's
quality assurance objectives and agile methodologies.
Mentor and coach teams on advanced test automation strategies, CI/CD/CT integration
Evaluate, own and manage test automation tools and frameworks, providing technical
leadership, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancements.
Define governance models, best practices, and standards for test automation adoption
across teams
Optimize test management practices by leveraging tools like Zephyr, Jira, and dashboards
for real-time test tracking, analytics, and reporting.
Lead training programs, CoP (Community of Practice) sessions, and workshops to upskill
teams in test automation.
Implement and optimize DevOps pipelines for continuous testing, integrating with tools like
Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Enhance test execution strategies, implementing cloud-based, VM-based, and containerized
test execution environments for scalability and parallel execution.
Collaborate with senior leadership, developers, and business teams to advocate for test
automation, provide insights on testing efficiencies, and drive innovation in quality
engineering.
AI-driven testing solutions, and frameworks to improve efficiency.
Skill and Experience
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 14+ years in software testing, with 3+ years in automation leadership.
- Expertise in Web, Mobile and Desktop automation.
- Programming: Java, Python, VBScript, Java Script, Groovy
- UI Automation: Selenium, UFT, Katalon, Appium.
- API Testing: Katalon, Rest-Assured, ReadyAPI, Postman, Wiremock
- NFR Testing: WebLOAD, JMeter, LoadRunner
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Test Management: JIRA, Zephyr
- Define and implement automation strategies and governance.
- Mentor and train teams in test automation and testing best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive test innovation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Good to have Skills
SDET, with good programming skills and can contribute to development
Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI/ML driven test automation
Browser stack product experience
Security Testing (OWASP, Burp Suite).
