Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Draftsman cum Designer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and other leading CAD software. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of basic machine design principles, fabrication processes, and manufacturing standards. You will work closely with our R&D, production, and service teams to develop accurate and efficient machine designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for machines and components using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
- Develop fabrication drawings with precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Convert concepts and sketches into detailed design models.
- Collaborate with engineers on R&D and custom machine development.
- Maintain an organized drawing archive and revision history.
- Ensure design feasibility for fabrication and assembly.
- Participate in design reviews and make necessary revisions.
- Coordinate with the production team for any design-related clarifications.
- Follow industry standards and internal guidelines for drafting and design.
- Have to assist in Installation and Service on Site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Draftsman/Designer (preferred).
- Proficient in SolidWorks and other 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Basic understanding of machine design, fabrication methods, and manufacturing tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects with deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with special purpose machines or food industry machinery.
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
